Brazen Walmart Thief Busted In Stafford: Police

STAFFORD, VA—A man was arrested Wednesday after brazenly stealing an air compressor from the Walmart at 217 Garrisonville Road, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Brandon Essex, 27, of Catlett, was charged with petit larceny and driving suspended.

Shortly before 4 p.m., police responded to the store for a reported theft in progress. A loss prevention employee said a man had stolen the air compressor and was loading it into the back of his vehicle. Police spotted the vehicle leaving the parking lot and pulled it over at 201 Garrisonville Road, where Essex admitted to the theft and was arrested.
