C-130 Makes Low Pass Through City

The fueslage of an Air Force C-130 cargo plane made its way through Fredericksburg without incident earlier this morning. The plane was traveling northbound through the area from Spotsylvania from Dixon Street to Route 3 to Route 1. By just after 10 a.m., the plane had cleared the Falmouth bridge and was entering Stafford County. 

The unusual flatbed cargo was being escorted by a flotilla of police vehicles, oversize load support trucks and utility trucks, needed in case the cargo plane could not fit under electrical wires. 

Small crowd of people had gathered in the parking lots in the vicinity of the Falmouth bridge to watch the plane go by.
