Candy, Carpet Caper Confuses Cops

Police seek woman suspected of stealing a rug and candy from downtown businesses. Read more details in today's City Blotter.

FREDERICKSBURG POLICE INCIDENTS WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2011

LARCENY:

Becks Antiques, 708 Caroline St, Sept. 20 1:45 – 1:55 p.m. An employee reported that a female subject stole a rug from the store and ran out the door when confronted. The rug was later recovered in a nearby parking lot, and the same suspect was also reported to have stolen candy from the Frenchman’s Corner at 620 Caroline St. The suspect was described as a tall and thin white female in her 30’s with short dark hair and carrying a large yellow purse. The suspect left the area in a small white car. The investigation is ongoing.

VANDALISM:

Richards Automotive, 623 Lafayette Blvd, Sept. 19 1:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. A customer reported that the windshield on his vehicle was broken, apparently by BB shot, while the car was at the shop for other repairs. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

DUI ARRESTS:

Erin Smith, 24, of Spotsylvania was arrested in the 1700 block of College Ave.

ARRESTS:

Leanne Rollins, 25, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting.

Olatunji Robinson, 33, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery and on a warrant from Stafford charging him with probation violation.

Dyrone Minor, 25, of Spotsylvania was arrested on a warrant from Spotsylvania charging him with violation of pre-trial conditions.
