Child Porn Possession, Sexual Battery Charges Filed: Sheriff's Office
Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office investigators arrested a woman on multiple child porn possession charges on Monday, authorities say.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A Spotsylvania County woman faces multiple possession of child porn and aggravated sexual battery charges after authorities seized electronic devices from her home, according to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators with the Child Victim Unit of the sheriff’s office acted on a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about an online account containing possible images of child pornography and sexual abuse. The sheriff’s office obtained a search warrant on Monday for the home of Ashley Kriesten in the 9600 block of Leaf Lane, according to authorities. During the search, investigators seized multiple electronic devices
Kriesten was arrested and charged with five counts of possession, reproduction, distribution, solicitation, and facilitation of child pornography; five counts of possession, reproduction, distribution, solicitation, and facilitation of child pornography, and two counts of aggravated sexual battery, according to the sheriff’s office.

The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is a member of the NOVA-DC Internet Crimes Against Children Virginia State Police Taskforce. Internet Crimes Against Children is a national network of law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies that helps state and local agencies respond to online child exploitation and other crimes.
