Disturbance At Hospital Leads To Arrest For Hate Crime: Sheriff

A Fredericksburg man wanted in Prince William County was reportedly causing a disturbance Sunday night at a local hospital, reports say.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A Stafford County Sheriff’s deputy arrested 34-year-old Daniel Castillo of Fredericksburg Sunday night for causing a disturbance at a local hospital.

Deputy W.E. Trainor responded around 8:43: p.m. for the report of a disturbance at Stafford Hospital, which is located at 101 Hospital Center Boulevard. A staff member told Trainor that Castillo had assaulted a patient, according to the incident report.

A security officer was assigned to follow Castillo, who was still in the hospital causing a disturbance. This included threatening the security officer, assaulting him and using racial remarks, according to SCSO.

Trainor arrested Castillo, charging him with assault related to a hate crime and disorderly conduct, the incident report says. Castillo was also served with an active warrant out of Prince William County for failing to appear in court. He was then taken to the Rappahannock Regional Jail where he was held without bond.
