Driver Thrown From Vehicle Dies In Stafford Crash: Police
A 28-year-old man from King George County died in Stafford on Thursday in a single-vehicle crash on Route 3, authorities said.
STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A driver died in Stafford County on Thursday when he was thrown from his vehicle during a crash, Virginia State Police officials said.
Authorities identified the driver as 28-year-old Christopher Lash of King George County. No other injuries were reported in the crash.
The crash occurred around 2:20 a.m. on Thursday in the 500 block of Route 3, according to a police report. Investigators said Lash was driving a 2016 Dodge Journey eastbound on the left side of the road.

He eventually overcorrected, drove off the right side of the road, and hit an embankment. The Dodge flipped and collided with multiple trees, authorities said.
Lash was not wearing a seatbelt, police officials said. He was thrown from the vehicle during the crash.

First responders pronounced Lash dead at the scene.
Authorities noted that the crash was still under investigation.
