Drunk Driver Busted After Rebuking Police In Stafford: SCSO
A drunk man's insistence on driving after he already had been given a reprieve by police turned out quite badly for him: SCSO.

STAFFORD, VA—A drunk man's insistence on driving after he already had been given something of a reprieve by police turned out quite badly for him early Sunday, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Ultimately, Eric Christopher Hence, 38, of Richmond, was charged not only with driving under the influence, but also driving with a revoked license. On top of that, he had a warrant out of Henrico County for failure to pay child support.
Hence's saga began shortly after 2 a.m. outside the Yak-A-Doo's nightspot at 564 Warrenton Road, where police had arrived for a reported disturbance. Officers found several people trying to restrain a man, and his friends said they were trying to get Hence into a passenger seat of a vehicle so they could drive him home. Police told him he'd be arrested for public intoxication if he didn't get in the passenger seat and leave the scene, so he did just that.
But shortly thereafter, police spotted the vehicle leaving the Wawa convenience store at 9 South Gateway Drive with Hence behind the wheel. The vehicle was stopped, police gave Hence field sobriety tests and he was taken to jail.
