STAFFORD, VA—A drunk Fredericksburg woman was arrested early Wednesday after crashing into a ditch near the intersection of Thomas Lane and Musselman Road and leaving the vehicle running while getting out and walking home, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Reese Juggins, 21, was charged with driving under the influence.
Shortly before 1:30 a.m., a deputy spotted the unoccupied but running vehicle in a ditch at the aforementioned location. Other units arrived, and police found that the vehicle's registered owner—Juggins—lived at a nearby Olde Forge residence in the 900 block of Bellows Avenue.
Police went to the home and found Juggins, who was crying hysterically, had glassy, bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and smelled like alcohol. She said she was driving to a nearby hotel when she crashed, and admitted to being intoxicated. Police said the accident occurred sometime between 12:51 a.m. and 1:21 a.m.
