Dump Truck, Trailer, Lawn Mowers Stolen from NPS

An estimated $52,000 of equipment was stolen in Fredericksburg.

A U.S. Government dump truck and 18-foot-trailer carrying riding and push lawn mowers were stolen Saturday from the U. S. National Park Service (NPS) storage facility in the four mile fork area, Capt. Jeffery Pearce, Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, said in a press release.

The dump truck has U. S. Government markings on the side. The total amount of loss is approximately $52,000 at this time, according to U. S. Park Ranger Craig Johnson.

Spotsylvania County Detectives are assisting the U. S. National Park Service Law Enforcement Rangers in the investigation.
