Family Of Man Fatally Struck By Train Notified: Fredericksburg Police

Family members of the man who was struck and killed by a train on Saturday have been notified, according to Fredericksburg Police.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Fredericksburg Police are investigating the death of a man who was struck and killed by an Amtrak train on Saturday afternoon.

FPD’s E-911 Center received a call around 4:45 p.m. about a pedestrian spotted near the train tracks in the 200 block of Lafayette Boulevard, according to police.

The victim’s next of kin had been contacted as of Sunday morning, but his identity has not been released, according to a post on the department’s official X account.
