Fredericksburg City Government Alters Tuesday Schedule Due To Storm

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Fredericksburg City government offices will opening with a two-hour delay on Tuesday, according to a post on the county’s website.

"Circuit Court will open at normal time," according to the post. "General District Court will open at 10 a.m. Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court is closed. FXBGO! service is anticipated to open at 10 a.m. All Parks, Recreation and Events activities are canceled."

On Monday afternoon, Fredericksburg City Public Schools updated the community on its operating status on Tuesday.

A winter storm warning remains in effect until 1 a.m. Tuesday throughout Northern Virginia and other parts of the region. Total snow accumulations between 5 and 10 inches are predicted, but isolated areas could get up to 12 inches if heavy banding forms, according to the National Weather Service. A trace of ice is forecast with the snow.
