Fredericksburg City Schools have changed the schedule for Thursday, Jan. 23. Here's what to know.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Students in Fredericksburg City Public Schools will have a two-hour late start on Thursday, Jan. 23, the school district said.
Employees should report two hours late. With expected dangerously low temperatures, please dress in warm clothing when outdoors and traveling, a district post on social media said.
Stafford County Public Schools will also have a two-hour delay because of the cold temperatures.

As an Arctic blast moves through the East Coat, overnight lows will plunge to 6 degrees in Fredericksburg overnight, according to the National Weather Service. On Thursday, look for mostly sunny skies, with a high near 37.
The Capital Weather Gang says temperatures are expected to be in the single digits and teens again early Thursday, before the warmup.
