Fredericksburg Man Cited For Rape Of Child Under 13: Police

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Fredericksburg City police arrested a suspect over the weekend who they say raped a 12-year-old girl eight years ago, according to authorities.

With the help of the U.S. Marshal's Service and tips from the public, police arrested David Jackson, charging him with one count of felony rape of a victim younger than 13, according to a post on the department's official Facebook account. Jackson was then held without bond.

A detective assigned to the case confirmed the evidence the victim reported to police on Dec. 4 and obtained an arrest warrant for Jackson for the rape of a child less than 13 years of age, according to police.
