MD Man Wanted In FXBG For Abduction Arrested By Stafford Deputies

Stafford County Sheriff's Deputies apprehended a 23-year-old Maryland man who was wanted on multiple charges, including abduction.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A 23-year-old Maryland man is being held without bond at Rappahannock Regional Jail after his arrest on Wednesday by Stafford County Sheriff's deputies on several outstanding warrants.

Deputies received information around 10:52 a.m., on Wednesday, about Jaiden Riddick, who was wanted by Fredericksburg Police for abduction, malicious wounding, preventing the summoning of law enforcement, and fleeing from law enforcement, according to a release.

Around 11:46 a.m., deputies located Riddick at a strip mall in the 3600 block of Richmond Highway. Riddick tried to evade authorities by running out the back of a business and hiding in his vehicle. However, Deputy S.M. Craig saw him hiding in the vehicle and took him into custody, according to SCSO.

During the arrest, Riddick provided false information. Deputies charged him with one count of providing a false identity to law enforcement and served him with the outstanding warrants from Fredericksburg.
