FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A 33-year-old man wanted for the recent theft of a vehicle in the city was arrested in Tennessee and is awaiting extradition back to Fredericksburg, according to police.

On Dec. 17, an FPD officer responded to the 500 block of Emancipation Highway for a stolen vehicle report. The owner told the officer that he had left the vehicle running in the parking lot when he was visiting a nearby business, according to police.

Reviewing surveillance video from the business, the officer spotted a man in hospital patient attire, which prompted him to contact a nearby hospital, according to the report.
