FredNats Kick Off 2025 Season With Fireworks Tuesday Night
The 2024 Carolina League champions return to Fredericksburg on Tuesday night for the first home game of the 2025 season.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — The Fredericksburg Nationals, the 2024 Carolina League Champions, will be returning to Virginia Credit Union Stadium for the 2025 season home opener on Tuesday night.
After being swept by the Carolina Claws (3-0) in Zebulon, North Carolina, the FredNats (0-3) begin a six-game homestand against the Salem Red Sox (3-0). The first pitch will be thrown at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
Starting pitcher Angel Felix Del Valle Roman, who went 3-0 with a 2.88 ERA during the 2024 season, will be on the mound for the FredNats on Tuesday. He’ll face Salem’s Adam Bates, who posted a 1-2 record last year with a 3.96 ERA.

To celebrate its first homestand, the FredNats have two promotions planned for Tuesday’s game. All fans will receive a Rally Towel courtesy of Ray’s Siding Company, which is also sponsoring a postgame fireworks show.
During the 2025 season, the FredNats will be offering 19 fireworks shows, 19 giveaways, five bobbleheads and 12 theme nights, as well as daily promotions. A full schedule of promotions can be found online.
The Fredericksburg Nationals are the Carolina League affiliate of the Washington Nationals and call Virginia Credit Union Stadium home. The stadium is located at 42 Jackie Robinson Way next to the Fredericksburg Convention Center.
