More Independence Day weekend crimes are reported to police, read more details in today's City Blotter

FREDERICKSBURG POLICE INCIDENTS WEDNESDAY, JULY 6, 2011

BURGLARY:

500 block Forest Village, July 4 – July 5, 7:30 pm. A resident reported that a game system was stolen from the apartment. A slashed window screen was also discovered. The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY:

Homewood Suites, 1040 Hospitality Ln, July 4, 11:30 p.m. – July 5, 6:20 a.m. A guest reported that a window on his rental vehicle was broken and his GPS and iPod were stolen from inside. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

2100 block Cowan Blvd, July 4 7:15 – July 5, 7 a.m. A resident reported that a window on his company vehicle was broken and a GPS and camera were stolen from inside. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

3200 block Fall Hill Ave, July 5, 10 – 11 a.m. A Stafford resident reported that a bag containing several valuables was stolen from her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Mary Washington Hospital, 1001 Sam Perry Blvd, June 29 – July 5, 4 p.m. A Gordonsville resident reported that while she was a patient in the hospital, her credit card and driver’s license were stolen from her purse and her card was used to make purchases at stores in the area. The investigation is ongoing.

Black Stone Coffee, 1113 Jefferson Davis Hwy, July 5, 7:45 p.m. The manager reported that a male subject used a large denomination bill to make a purchase, received his change, then by unknown means retrieved the large bill back from the cashier. The investigation is ongoing.

VANDALISM:

400 block Amaret St, July 2 – July 5, 7 a.m. A city employee reported that an unknown person broke out the rear window of a FRED bus. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

500 block Littlepage St, July 3, 9 p.m. – July 5, 9:30 a.m. A resident reported that a city-owned tree was snapped in half. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

St. Georges Church, 905 Princess Anne St, July 3, 1 p.m. - July 4, 1 p.m. An employee reported that a rear window on the building was broken. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1000 block Albert Reynolds Dr, June 30 – July 5 11:50 a.m. A resident reported that his mailbox was damaged. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

DUI ARRESTS:

Dennis Booth, 38, of Bowling Green was arrested for DUI and hit and run in the 300 block of Dixon St.

ARRESTS: Beverley Peyton, 72, of Spotsylvania was arrested on an indictment for embezzlement.

John Hayes, 41, of Fredericksburg was arrested for possession of schedule I,II narcotics, possession of schedule IV narcotics, and possession of marijuana.

David Lopez, 19, of Spotsylvania was arrested for possession of marijuana.
