Huge Melee Breaks Out At Motel In Stafford: Police
A huge fight involving around 100 people resulted in several arrests and included a man being smashed in the head with a bottle, say police.
STAFFORD, VA—A huge fight involving around 100 people resulted in several arrests and included a man being smashed in the head with a bottle early Sunday outside the Clarion Inn at 564 Warrenton Road, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Charged with public intoxication were Sharon Jackson, 44, of Fredericksburg; Kendrea Hall, 35, of Hagerstown, MD, and Delante White, 27, of Fredericksburg.
Shortly after 1:30 a.m., police arrived at the hotel for a reported fight in progress. They found around 100 people dispersing in the parking lot, including a man bleeding from his head. He said he had been trying to break up a fight when an unknown person hit him over the head with what he believed to be a beer bottle. While police were talking to the man, White kept interfering with the interview despite being to told to step away, and that led to his arrest.
Meanwhile, police heard yelling from a group of around 15-20 people on the side of the hotel. Two women—Jackson and Hall—were screaming at each other and "wildly gesticulating" while bystanders tried to pull them apart. Officers ordered the group to leave but the women kept fighting before eventually being subdued and arrested.
