I-95 Near Fredericksburg Reopens After Temporary Closure
Both directions of I-95 near Fredericksburg reopened after begin closed for nearly two hours due to downed cables.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — All lanes of northbound and southbound I-95 in Fredericksburg reopened to traffic after being closed for nearly two hours on Monday for downed power lines, according to authorities.
Although all detours have been lifted, the Virginia Department of Transportation warned motorists that they may still experience heavy traffic as the congestion clears, according to a 1:45 p.m. post on social media.
Just before noon on Monday, Virginia Department of Transportation was asked motorists to avoid I-95 in the Fredericksburg area and find alternate routes. All northbound and southbound lanes were closed at exit 130 for Route 3 due to downed power lines.

During the closure, VDOT diverted all I-95 traffic to Route 1. Southbound traffic was detoured at exit 150 for Courthouse Road in Stafford County. Northbound traffic was diverted at exit 126 in Spotsylvania County.
