James Monroe Clubs Get Up and Running

As the school year gets started, a number of extra curricular activities are gearing up with their first meetings of the year to get things organized. Here's a list of events announced so far for this week:

    •    Animal Sciences Club - Organizational Meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 21 from 3 to 4 p.m. in room 224.
    •    Frence Club a.k.a. Le Cercle Francais - Meets on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 3 p.m. in room 134. Members should bring $5 in annual dues, and an orange, black or white t-shirt to paint. Members don't have to be in french class to join the club.
    •    James Monroe Girls Soccer - Those interested in playing soccer for the lady Jacket's soccer squad should attend the meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 21 after school in room 119.
    •    Key Club - JM library to host pizza and dues party for members of the Key Club on Tuesday, Sept. 20 after school. Dues are $20, pizza is free.
    •    Academic Team Tryouts - JM trivia nuts are encouraged to try out for the Academic Team on Tuesday, Sept. 22 in room 223.
    •    Girls Tennis - Coach Goodlet is hosting a brief meeting and practice for those interested in playing on the JM girls tennis team. The meeting is on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 3 p.m. on the JM tennis courts.
