The James Monroe Yellow Jackets will play the Brookville Bees Saturday in the state football championship. It will be a rematch of last year's state final.
The Yellow Jackets qualified for the final by beating the Kettle Run Cougars 37-30 in triple overtime in the Division 3 semifinals last week. Head Coach Richard Serbay called it, "the greatest playoff victory I've had."
"Down 10 points with four minutes to go [we] kicked a 42 yard field goal to tie it up with a minute to go. That's a tribute to the kids," Coach Serbay told Nation's Best Sports Show (video attached). "They go the distance."
