VA Man Arrested For Knife Fight At Outside Apartment Building

A 39-year-old Fredericksburg man was arrested last Wednesday for injuring another man during a knife fight, according to police.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A 39-year-old Fredericksburg man is facing multiple charges, including assault and battery, in connection to a knife fight that occurred last week at a local apartment complex, according to authorities.

On Wednesday, units from both the Fredericksburg City Police and the Fredericksburg Sheriff’s Office responded around 11:35 a.m. to the 200 block of Kings Mill Court for the report of two men fighting with knives, according to the incident report.

Arriving on the scene, the officers found a witness and the victim waiting outside. Seeing that the victim had minor injuries, the officers administered first aid, according to police.

Investigators identified 39-year-old Sadiqullah Raees Khan of Fredericksburg as the suspect in the case, police say. Officers located Khan inside his residence and took him into custody. During the arrest, a knife was located outside, behind the apartment building along the tree line.

Khan was charged with stabbing with intent to maim and assault and battery. He was then taken to the Rappahannock Regional Jail, where he was held without bond, according to police
