Local Man Pleads Guilty to Federal Child Porn Charges
William Hurlbut, 28, faces up to 30 years in prison for filming sex acts with minor.
A Fredericksburg man faces between 15 and 30 years in prison after he pleaded guilty in federal court in Alexandria today to producing child pornography.
William Hurlbut, 28, was indicted on June 22 for producing child pornography. Following his guilty plea, he will be forced to register as a sex offender. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for Sept. 16.
Hulburt admitted performing and filming sexual acts with a sleeping 8-year-old boy who he had known since the child was 6-months old.

The guilty plea was announced in a press release by US Attorney Neil MacBride and John Torres, special agent in charge of Immigration and Custom Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigation unit.
