Local Troops Deploy Overseas
Emotions run high as well-wishers see soldiers off to war.
Fredericksburg Patch was on hand as local National Guard troops stationed at the Fredericksburg Armory set off on a journey which will find them deployed to Iraq. Family and friends of the roughly 260 soldiers gathered on the campus of the University of Mary Washington earlier on Wednesday to wish their boys and girls in uniform a safe deployment and a happy return.
