Man Arrested For 2017 Home Invasion, Abduction In Stafford: SCSO
A man has been arrested for a May 2017 home invasion and abduction at a home in Stafford, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.

STAFFORD, VA—A man was arrested Tuesday, June 11, for a May 2017 home invasion and abduction at a home in the 3000 block of Warrenton Road, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.
Mitchell O'Shea Wilson, 46, of Axton in Henry County, was arrested by the Henry County Sheriff's Office following a vehicle chase and charged with felony eluding law enforcement, felony habitual offender and two counts of possession of a firearm by a violent convicted felon. He also was served outstanding warrants from Stafford County for robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, abduction, breaking and entering, grand larceny, grand larceny of a firearm and larceny with the intent to sell.
Wilson was wanted in Stafford for an incident on May 23, 2017. Around 11:45 a.m., police responded to the scene after a caller told them his wife had been tied up and held at gunpoint by an unknown man.

After they arrived, the woman said she was walking out to her vehicle around 11 a.m when someone grabbed her from behind, pointed a gun at her head and took her back inside the home. He demanded she take him to a safe inside the residence, after which he tied her up and stole several guns from the safe.
The woman, who was not identified, eventually freed herself and called her husband, who called police. Units canvassed the area but failed to find the man.

Flash forward some two years later when Stafford detectives, in May of this year, received undisclosed information that led them to identify Wilson as the man behind the 2017 home invasion. Thus alerted, the Henry County Sheriff's Office spotted Wilson June 11 and chased his vehicle for 14 miles before arresting him without further incident. He's being held without bond.
