Man Beaten in Home Invasion Robbery

FREDERICKSBURG POLICE INCIDENTS TUESDAY, AUGUST 16, 2011
ARMED ROBBERY:
300 block Altoona Dr, Aug. 15, 5:45 p.m. A resident reported that he answered a knock at his door and three male subjects pushed their way inside. One of the subjects pointed a handgun at the victim while demanding that he give up his money and medications. The victim initially resisted, but another of the three suspects struck him repeatedly across the torso with a collapsible baton until the victim turned over his prescriptions and the cash in his pocket. A female resident of the home heard the commotion and called 911.

The subjects then ran from the house and left the scene in a white SUV. A neighbor saw the suspects leaving and was able to obtain a partial license plate number for the fleeing vehicle. The victim had numerous bruises from the assault and was treated on the scene by rescue personnel, but he declined to be transported to the hospital. Detectives are currently following strong leads and the investigation is ongoing.

200 block Fauquier St, Aug. 14 8:00 p.m. – Aug. 15 7:30 a.m. A resident reported that a boxwood bush was uprooted and stolen from her front yard. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
2200 block Caroline St, Aug. 4 – Aug. 15 5:25 pm. A resident reported that a CD player was stolen from her apartment. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
DUI ARRESTS:
Gary McClure, 35, of Victoria was arrested in the 1300 block of Carl D Silver Pkwy.
ARRESTS:
Juvenile female, 16, was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.
