STAFFORD, VA—A wanted man was arrested Friday after ramming a police vehicle during a chase and finally being subdued by a K-9 unit, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Jamaunta McQueen, 23, of Triangle, was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, eluding police, assault and battery, driving suspended and failure to yield, as well as outstanding warrants out of Prince William County.

On Friday, a deputy saw a vehicle run a stop sign at Shasta Place and Newcastle Place, and recognized the driver as McQueen, who he knew was wanted. The deputy hit the lights but the vehicle accelerated. Another officer positioned his cruiser in front of McQueen, who slammed into it, got out and fled on foot.

An officer told him to stop or else he'd release his police dog. McQueen didn't stop so the police dog went to work. The canine caught up to McQueen and "bit his arm without applying pressure," prompting his arrest. A search of the vehicle found cash and several bags of pot.
