FREDERICKSBURG, VA—A man was arrested Monday, June 3, on multiple sexual assault charges, and authorities believe there may be other victims, according to Fredericksburg Police. Larry Owens, 58, of the 300 block of Wolfe Street in Fredericksburg, was charged with three charges of aggravated sexual battery, one charge of forcible sodomy and one charge of possession of a schedule IV drug.
The investigation began Dec. 18, 2018, when a woman said Owens "took advantage of her." Police then became aware of other incidents in which females were "taken advantage of" by Owens. On Jan. 7, police executed a search warrant at his home and recovered pertinent evidence.
Then, on May 29, a grand jury issued direct indictments of the aforementioned charges stemming from four separate incidents. Owens turned himself in at police headquarters Monday. He's being held without bond.
