More Break-Ins at VRE Lot: Fredericksburg Police

Also reported: graffiti along Heritage Trail, construction site vandalized.

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — Two more commuters returned to the VRE parking lot recently to find windows shattered on their vehicles, according to Fredericksburg City Police.

An officer responded on Friday afternoon to a report that two vehicles were found with windows shattered in the parking lot at 399 Prince Edward Street.

On June 27, an unknown thief shattered windows on three vehicles in the same parking lot. One vehicle owner said that about $10 in change and keys to his rental property were missing.

Other recent incidents, as reported by the Fredericksburg City Police:

Graffiti: Falmouth Bridge, 200 Jefferson Davis Highway, 7/5, 9:45 a.m. A City resident reported that an unknown person marked graffiti underneath the bridge along the Heritage Trail. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Vandalism: 100 block Addie Court, 7/5, 10:30 a.m. A construction worker reported that an unknown person entered a residential construction site and shattered six individual windows and a sliding glass door. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Larceny: Central Park Funland, 1351 Central Park Boulevard, 7/5, 10:00 p.m. A citizen reported that she placed her phone down while playing a game and walked away. When she returned, her phone was gone. No
suspects or witnesses at this time.
