FREDERICKSBURG POLICE INCIDENTS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2011

BREAKING AND ENTERING:

1200 block Rappahannock Ave, Sept. 1, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. A resident reported that her back door was opened by an unknown person while she was inside the residence. The investigating officers also found a basement door with a broken pane of glass and a torn screen on the basement storm door, as well as a kitchen window that had been opened. It is unclear if entry was made to the residence. The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY:

1000 block Hotchkiss Ct, 8/31 – Sept. 1, 5:40 a.m. A resident reported that his vehicle was stolen from in front of his house. The vehicle is a blue Chrysler station wagon with Virginia license plates. The investigation is ongoing.

Mary Washington Hospital, 1001 Sam Perry Blvd, Aug. 25 – Sept. 1, 7:25 a.m. An employee of Kids Station reported that the license plates were stolen from a van belonging to the business. The van was parked in a hospital parking lot at the time of the theft. The investigation is ongoing.

Dollar Tree, 3061 Plank Rd, Sept. 1, 5:45 p.m. A patron reported that she inadvertently left her wallet in her shopping cart. When she returned to retrieve it, the wallet was still there but the cash had been stolen from it. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

ARRESTS: Vanessa Starkey, 20, of King George was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.

Brooke Rawlings, 25, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.
