- A new Park and Ride commuter lot opened Wednesday in Spotsylvania County. This lot offers 700 commuter parking spaces and is located at the intersection of Route One and Commonwealth Drive. The new location also features 14 accessible parking spaces, 10 motorcycle spaces, a bike rack, and a 10-foot-wide shared-use path. (Potomac Local News)
- Fredericksburg police gathered on Tuesday to remember Officer Todd Allen Bahr, who was shot and killed in the line of duty fifteen years prior, on Jun. 6, 2008. Bahr had been an officer with the Fredericksburg Police Department since 2006 and had previously served as a volunteer auxiliary officer. (Fredericksburg Today)
- The City of Fredericksburg is reimagining its First Friday tradition in order to revitalize the area's downtown region. Fredericksburg residents are encouraged to stop by from 5:00-9:00 p.m. during the first Friday of each month to explore art galleries, local nonprofits, restaurants, and more. The city is also offering shuttles between 5:00-8:30 p.m. (Fredericksburg Patch)
