No Bodily Fluid Cleanup Plan Found At Fredericksburg Restaurant
Rappahannock Area Health District inspectors reported finding violations at eight Fredericksburg food establishments recently.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Rappahannock Area Health District inspectors reported that eight of the 14 Fredericksburg food establishments visited between Oct. 1 and 7 had health code violations.
During an Oct. 7 inspection, the person in charge at the Robin's Nest restaurant located at 3380 Shannon Airport Circle could not provide the inspector with written procedures for bodily fluid clean up.
"A food establishment shall have procedures for employees to follow when responding to vomiting or diarrheal events that involve the discharge of vomitus or fecal matter onto surfaces in the food establishment," the inspector wrote in their report. "The procedures shall address the specific actions employees must take to minimize the spread of contamination and the exposure of employees, consumers, food, and surfaces to vomitus or fecal matter."
