Northern Virginia Weather: Snow Departs And Temperatures Drop
Northern Virginia's work-week weather forecast looks to be clear of snow until we get closer to the weekend, say area forecasters.

STERLING, VA—Now that our weekend snowstorm is nearly nothing more than a memory, Northern Virginia's work-week weather forecast features a lot of sun to go with highs in the upper 30s and lows in the 20s. That's the word from the National Weather Service and other area forecasting outlets.
As for the storm, the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang points out that this has been the biggest snow in Washington since January 2016. Most locales received at least six inches, and light snow showers will continue through mid-evening before tapering to flurries around midnight. Temperatures will reach the lower 20s in the region overnight, says the NWS, so refreezing is likely.
