One Dies in Cowan Blvd. Crash

A single vehicle crash on Cowan Boulevard at Preserve Lane shut down the road for a while Tuesday morning, as police investigated and cleared the scene.

The driver — the only occupant of the vehicle — is deceased, reports Natatia Bledsoe, City of Fredericksburg Police spokesman. 

"Preliminary indications are that speed was not a factor in the crash," Bledoe said.  More information will be available upon further investigation and notification of next of kin.
