Pedestrian Hit, Killed In Stafford County: Police

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A woman died on Wednesday after a truck hit her in Stafford County, police said.

Authorities have not identified the victim by name. The Stafford County Sheriff's Office only described her as "an adult female pedestrian."

The driver of the truck that hit her stayed at the scene after the crash, authorities said.

The crash occurred around 1:40 a.m. near Kings Highway and Forest Lane Road. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
