Pedestrian Hit By Vehicle In Stafford Was Doing Yard Work: Police
A man suffered serious injuries after a vehicle hit him while he was doing yard work in Stafford County on Tuesday morning, police said.
STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A man was hit by a vehicle in Stafford County on Tuesday while doing yard work, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office told Patch.
The man, who police only described as an adult man, suffered serious injuries. Authorities noted that his injuries were not life-threatening.
The sheriff's office did not identify the driver involved in the crash. A police spokesperson told Patch that no charges have been filed in the crash.

The crash occurred around 10 a.m. on Tuesday on Worth Road in Stafford County. Authorities told Patch that the pedestrian was doing yard work and was standing in the roadway when he was struck.
"The driver did not have enough time to respond before striking the pedestrian," a police spokesperson told Patch. "The driver did remain on scene."

The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Worth Road was temporarily shut down on Tuesday morning as authorities investigated the crash.
