Police Busy Over Holiday
Two aggravated assaults, two larcenies reported over the weekend.

FREDERICKSBURG POLICE INCIDENTS TUESDAY, JANUARY 3, 2012
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT:
1005 Princess Anne St, Jan. 1 9:45 p.m. A passerby reported that she found a male subject unconscious and bleeding on the sidewalk in front of the business. A witness reported that she saw a male subject strike the victim in the face, which caused him to fall to the ground. The witness reported that the suspect went back inside the business after the assault. The witness described the assailant as a tall light-skinned black male, heavy set, with short black hair and some facial hair. The victim was transported by ambulance to Mary Washington Hospital with significant head injuries. The investigation is ongoing.

100 block George St, Jan. 1 1:15 a.m. A Spotsylvania resident reported that he was walking to a friend’s apartment when he was approached by a male subject who accused him of talking inappropriately to a female. The unknown subject then assaulted him by punching him several times in the face. A second assailant also joined in before both suspects left the area on foot. The victim was transported by ambulance to Mary Washington Hospital where he was treated for multiple facial lacerations. The suspects were described as both white males in their early 20’s, around six feet tall with medium builds. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY:

201 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Jan. 02, 2:40 a.m – 4:50 a.m. The owner reported that she arrived at the business and found that it and the adjoining Checks Cashed had been burglarized. The suspect(s) apparently made entry by breaking the lock on a side door and they also disabled the alarm. A large quantity of cash was stolen from both businesses, and cigarettes and other merchandise were stolen from the Sunoco. The investigation is ongoing.
LARCENY:
300 block Greystone Ct, Dec. 31, 11:45 p.m. – Jan 1 2:00 a.m. A resident reported that his vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of his apartment complex, and his keys were stolen while he hosted a party in his building. The vehicle was later located in Stafford County by the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office and a warrant was obtained charging Richard Slack, 18, of Stafford with grand larceny. Slack is incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
900 block Monroe St, Jan. 02, 5:45 p.m. A resident reported that a license plate was stolen from her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
DUI ARRESTS:
Matthew Romani, 32, of Spotsylvania was arrested in the 3300 block of Plank Rd.
Julianne Kelsey, 37, of Spotsylvania was arrested in the 1400 block of William St.
ARRESTS:
Susan Painter Arenas, 55, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication in the 700 block of Caroline St.
Terrell Robinson, 19, of Loretta, Virginia was arrested for underage possession of alcohol outside of Aladins at 2052 Plank Rd.
Dennis Haney, 54, of Stafford was arrested on a warrant from Stafford County charging him with carrying a concealed weapon.
