Police Report: Larceny, Vandalism and Counterfeiting

Fredericksburg Police crime report for Dec. 16 - 17, 2013.

LARCENY:

McDonalds, 1701 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 12/16 12:20 p.m. A patron reported that she accidentally left her purse in the bathroom. When she returned to retrieve it, the purse was found in a trash can but the victim’s wallet and valuables were gone. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1000 block Wicklow Dr, 12/15 – 12/16 7:45 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole her purse from her unlocked vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1900 block Elmhurst Ave, 12/16 2:00 p.m. A witness reported that he saw a male subject tampering with a vehicle parked on the street. It was later determined that a small amount of cash had been stolen from the car. A possible suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.

1400 block Kenmore Ave, 12/15 11:30 a.m. A witness reported that he saw a male subject entering his neighbor’s car and then running from the scene immediately afterward. It was later discovered that a small amount of cash had been stolen from the vehicle. The suspect was described as a light-skinned black male in his late teens and wearing a light blue jacket, blue jeans, and sunglasses. The investigation is ongoing.

COUNTERFEITING:

1000 block Heritage Park, 11/30 and 12/14 3:45 p.m. A food delivery driver reported that on two separate occasions male subjects gave him counterfeit currency in payment for his delivery. The investigation is ongoing.

VANDALISM:

900 block Kenmore Ave, 12/14 – 12/16 9:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person broke the side mirror off her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Quaker Steak, 1300 Central Park Blvd, 12/14 10:20 p.m. A patron reported that an unknown person slashed a tire on his vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.

VEHICLE TAMPERING:

400 block Cobblestone Dr, 12/13 10:00 a.m. A witness reported that she saw a male subject rummaging through a vehicle in the parking lot. The unknown subject also attempted to open the doors of several additional vehicles in the lot. The subject was described as a black male in his late teens wearing a tan stocking cap and jeans. The investigation is ongoing.

1100 block Cardwell St, 12/12 – 12/13 8:30 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person entered his unlocked vehicle and rummaged through the contents of his glove box and center console. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

ARRESTS:

Priscilla Carter, 38, of Spotsylvania was arrested on a warrant from Spotsylvania charging her with felony bad check.

Denotre Chase, 34, of King George was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.

Ace House, 23, of Stafford was arrested for public intoxication.

Roy Corbin, 23, of Orange was arrested for shoplifting from Home Depot.

Rashid Jalal, 35, of Fredericksburg was arrested for violation of a protective order, obstruction of justice, and attempted breaking and entering.

Steven Spear, 36, of Spotsylvania was arrested for public intoxication.
