Police Tech Nets Quick Arrest in Burglary

FREDERICKSBURG POLICE INCIDENTS WEDNESDAY, MAY 25, 2011

BURGLARY:

1000 block Dorthea Ct, May 24 1:30 a.m. - 6:30 a.m. A resident reported that she discovered her keys missing from the house and her purse and GPS stolen from her vehicle. The investigation determined that the offender had entered the home through an unlocked door and taken the keys to all three of the residents’ vehicles. The offender rummaged through all of the vehicles but only stole property from one of them. The offender then placed the keys belonging to two of the vehicles back inside the house before leaving the scene. Detectives collected fingerprint evidence and within 90 minutes, the suspect was identified as a known offender whose prints were already in the Automated Fingerprint Identification (AFIS) system. At 3:00 p.m., Timothy Tolson, 20, of Fredericksburg was arrested at a friend’s apartment and charged with burglary, grand larceny, and three counts of tampering with a vehicle. The stolen GPS was recovered from Tolson and the stolen purse was later found in a dumpster. Tolson was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.

ASSAULT:

Relax Inn, 1904 Princess Anne St, May 24 9:00 p.m. Police responded at the request of management to remove guests who were causing disturbances. In one of the rooms, officers encountered an intoxicated female who refused to comply with orders to vacate the premises. While being taken into custody, the female was combative and repeatedly kicked the arresting officer. Jessica Lyon, 24, of Stafford was arrested for disorderly conduct and assault on a law enforcement officer. Lyon was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond. In another room, a male subject refused to gather his belongings and leave the area. Charles Knauer, 31, of Thornburg was arrested for trespassing and incarcerated under a $1500 bond.

LARCENY:

100 block Wellington Lakes Dr, May 21 4:30 p.m. – May 24 8:00 p.m. A resident reported that items of value were stolen from a safe inside her apartment. The investigation is ongoing.

V ANDALISM:

200 block Riverside Manor Blvd, May 24 5:25 p.m. The driver of an ice cream truck reported that the rear window was smashed while he was peddling in the neighborhood. The investigation is ongoing.

ARRESTS: Sentoria Poole, 19, of Spotsylvania was arrested for assault and battery.
