Rescue Me: Grayton The Dog Only Has 3 Paws, But 1 Big Heart

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Grayton is a four-year-old dog available for adoption through the Fredericksburg SPCA. He came to Fredericksburg after Hurricane Ian with only three paws, but he doesn't let that slow him down.

"No shirt, no shoes, no foot - no problem! Grayton doesn't think thrice about being in the tripawd squad - and neither should you," the Fredericksburg SPCA told Patch. "Even though he's more on the chill and relaxed side of life, Grayton still loves going to doggy daycare to be around other canine pals."

Grayton has a prosthetic for his missing paw that he will keep when he joins a new family. The SPCA's Locke Community Medical Center will teach his new family how to equip the prosthetic.

"Grayton is a happy and social boy who likes to be around people," the SPCA said. "He is interested in a cat-free home, but would love to meet dog siblings!"
