FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Loretta, a caucasian shepherd at the Fredericksburg SPCA, was rescued from a possibly cruel situation in Pahrump, Nevada in September. Now, this gentle girl is in Virginia and ready to find a forever home after being transferred to the SPCA in May.

"Loretta is a big baby at heart with a kind and loving spirit," the SPCA said. "All she desires is to be a part of a caring family where her nonchalant demeanor as an observer of life around her will be appreciated."

In her time at the SPCA, Loretta has become a staff and volunteer favorite for her relaxed demeanor. Though she may have had a tough life so far, it hasn't soured her.
