FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Orlando is a dog who avoided Hurricane Ian and overcame orthopedic surgery at the Fredericksburg SPCA. He celebrated his fourth birthday at the shelter last week, and he's ready to find a forever home.

"Orlando is 96lbs and 85% Bulldog according to his Embark DNA test," the Fredericksburg SPCA told Patch. Orland has been at the shelter for over a year as he recovered from surgery, which was funded by the Humane Society of the United States.

"He’s been a rock star at events like last year’s Animal Rescue Festival and more recently Pet Palooza where he captivated everyone with his handsome face, Halloween pajamas, and friendly personality," the SPCA said. "Orlando is an enthusiastic player of tug-of-war, but when it’s time to wind down he is a professional snuggle butt."
