Robber Demanding Purse Scared Off

FREDERICKSBURG POLICE INCIDENTS THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2011
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY:
Halloween City, 2060 Plank Rd, Sept. 28 5:45 pm. A Stafford resident reported that she was standing in the parking lot talking to a friend who was sitting in a vehicle when she was approached by a male subject who demanded her purse. The suspect pointed a knife or similar sharp object at the victim, but she yelled toward her mother who was across the lot in front of the store and the suspect ran from the scene. The suspect was described as a tall and thin white male with short black curly hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt with white lettering on the front and blue jeans. The victim was not injured and did not lose any of her property. The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY:
Radio Shack, 1287 Carl D Silver Pkwy, Sept. 29 1:50 a.m. Police responded to an alarm activation and found the rear door to the business open and shattered. Officers checked the business, but nobody was found inside. Further investigation showed that nothing had been stolen. The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY:
2500 block Van Buren St, Sept. 27 8:30 pm – Sept. 28 6:20 a.m. A resident reported that a weapon was stolen from his locked vehicle. There was no sign of forced entry to the car. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
200 block Prince Edward St, Sept. 26 12:00 a.m. – Sept. 28 9:00 a.m. A resident reported that a license plate was stolen from his vehicle and a quantity of cash was stolen from his house. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
DUI ARRESTS:
Windy Beck-Webster, 36, of Fredericksburg was arrested in the 2100 block of Cowan Blvd.
ARRESTS:
Derrick Seals, 27, of Fredericksburg was arrested for shoplifting from 7-11.
Michael Bailey, 47, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a warrant from Spotsylvania charging him with making threatening phone calls.
Robin Marple, 45, of Hampton was arrested for public intoxication.
