Robberies Mar Labor Day Weekend
A man is attacked on Princess Anne Street, a boyfriend and girlfriend robbed when hotel room invaded.

Two weekend robberies kept police busy this Labor Day weekend.
The first robbery occurred at about 1 a.m. on Saturday morning on the 1900 block of Princess Anne Street. Police say that a local resident was walking down the street with a friend when he was attacked from behind by two men. During their attack the man suffered severe cuts to the face. The robbers rifled through the victim's wallet, but with no money inside, they left the empty wallet with the victim before escaping on foot.
Police say they are looking for two black males in their early 20s. One was tall and had a shaved head, while the second suspect was described as average height with close cropped hair.

A second robbery occurred almost exactly 48 hours afterwards at 1 a.m. on Monday morning. This time, three men forced their way into an occupied room at the Dunning Mills Inn at 2305 Jefferson Davis Highway. All three we wearing bandanas over their faces, one was brandishing a crowbar. The robbers made off with cash and cell phones from the two guests staying at the inn. The victims, a boyfriend and girlfriend, were not injured.
The victim's described their trio of attackers as two black men and an asian man.

Police have not publicly identified any suspects, saying that the investigation is ongoing.
