Small Business Saturday is on Nov. 24 this year, two days after Thanksgiving. It's the day between Black Friday and Cyber Monday when everyone is encouraged to support the small businesses on which their community thrives.

American Express founded Small Business Saturday in 2010 to help small businesses obtain exposure during the holiday season, when they might be otherwise overlooked.
