FREDERICKSUBRG, VA—Authorities are investigating yet another armed robbery in the city, this one late Wednesday night at the Express Food Mart at 333 Fall Hill Avenue, according to Fredericksburg Police. It's the fourth business to be hit in less than a week but police don't yet know whether they're connected.
Shortly after 11:30 p.m., a man walked into store, flashed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk, who then ran into an office and locked himself inside. So the man then went behind the counter and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register before fleeing on foot.
Police, along with a K-9 unit, searched the area to no avail. Earlier Wednesday, the United Bank at 1304 Central Park Boulevard was hit. That followed the robbery Sunday at an Exxon at 3201 Plank Road and a Jan. 3 robbery at a Sunoco at 201 Jefferson Davis Highway.
