Spotsy Residents Hope to Build Dog Park
An interest meeting is scheduled Wednesday evening.

The City of Fredericksburg has a dog park, but only city residents can use it. That's why a group of Spotsylvania residents is hosting a meeting May 29 to plan a dog park for Spotsy residents.
"Spotsy really needs a dog park to allow our dogs to get some exercise," resident Theresa Roberson said.
The dog park interest meeting is at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Salem Church Library, 2607 Salem Church Rd., Fredericksburg.

"Landry Hepler launched the We Want A Dog Park in Spotsylvania, VA Facebook page just to see how much interest there was in getting a dog park up and running in Spotsylvania," the group said on their Facebook page. "Over the past year, we have raised well over $3K in funds." They have now formed Spotsy Dog Park Inc., a 501(c)3 geared towards raising funds, land and supplies for building a public dog park in Spotsylvania.
