Stafford Deputy Struck By Unidentified Vehicle On I-95 North
The Stafford County Sheriff's Office is reaching out to anyone who may have witnessed a hit-and-run involving a deputy on Thursday morning.
STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying a vehicle that struck a sheriff’s deputy on northbound I-95 near exit 133 for Warrenton Road during the morning rush hour on Thursday.
Around 6:15 a.m., the deputy was stationary on his department-issued motorcycle when an unidentified vehicle struck him from behind and then continued northbound on I-95, according to the sheriff’s office. The deputy was being evaluated for minor injuries.
Anyone who was in the area of the Warrenton Road exit and witnessed the deputy being struck by the vehicle is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 540-658-4400. The striking vehicle is expected to have front-end damage.
