How do you know the star local student?

My grandson

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

My eight year old grandson is an amazing kid and amazing community helper. He works with my husband at King George Food Bank - Love Thy Neighbor. He helps make deliveries, stock food, direct traffic with his pap, and helps clean up after pick up days. Last year, he held his own lemonade stand where he raised money to buy cereal and had people donate cereal since there was a shortage at Love Thy Neighbor. He raised enough between money and donations to give over 300 boxes of cereal to the food bank. Furthermore, my grandson likes to help his community and church whenever he can. He is the kid who will take all the carts left in the parking lot back into the store just to be helpful. At church, he will help with Sunday school classes or children’s church when needed. Both my husband and I love with Bracken and his mom so Bracken does a lot for us as well. We are both older and I have some disabilities with walking and am unable to do everything I would like, so he helps me around the house with cleaning and laundry.
My grandson also does well academically. He does online public school through K-12 but also does homeschooling with his mom and attends classes with the REACH homeschool group. He participates in their drama club and just finished performing in Alice in Wonderland. He also participates in the FAYM (Fredericksburg Area Youth Musicians) choir and recently sang the National Anthem as a group at the Fredericksburg Nationals baseball game. His grades are exemplary. His main interest is Presidential History.
My grandson should be recognized for the outstanding, amazing, generous 8 year old boy he is.
