Stolen Spotsy Antiques Turn Up in City Stores

FREDERICKSBURG POLICE INCIDENTS

STOLEN PROPERTY OFFENSES:

Collectors Den, 717 Caroline St, 6/27 3:00 pm. The owner of a Spotsylvania antiques dealership reported that she returned after several months to find that her store had been burglarized. Before reporting the crime to Spotsylvania authorities, the victim visited the Collectors Den and located a quantity of her stolen merchandise on display there. The victim and the investigating officer also found some of the merchandise at Blue Shark Antiques. Both proprietors of the downtown shops were cooperative about releasing the property for evidence and providing information about the suspect who had sold them the items. The suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
LARCENY:

Municipal Lot, 900 Sophia St, 6/26 12:00 pm – 12:45 pm. A Stafford resident reported that an unknown offender broke into her vehicle and stole her purse. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
1000 block Heritage Park, 6/27 10:00 pm – 6/28 5:30 am. A resident reported that the stereo and sound systems were stolen from his vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
ARRESTS:
Tracy Whitehurst, 51, of Stafford was arrested for domestic assault and battery.
Anna Maher, 19, of Stafford was arrested for public intoxication, providing false identification to law enforcement, and underage possession of alcohol.
Jeffrey Costello, 25, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication.
